I came across this really cool blog authoring tool (still in beta) from (!gasp) Microsoft that seems to be pretty cool. Lets you write locally from your machine and then upload to your blog when finished. A few cool features like integrating this youtube video (No more using 2 accounts to post video and text?!)
I read about the cool feature to integrate live maps - lets see how this works with a shot of my office?
nope. instead i got a debug error. great.
well, at least Microsoft built in the capability to flawlessly display the screenshot of the errors they cause. This may be my last time using Live Writer.

I’m a developer on the Writer team. Sorry that you ran into this problem!
If you still have Writer installed, it would be great to know if you are stilling running into this (so we can determine if it was a problem with the maps service being down or a problem with Writer itself).
